Financial Support for Hospitality EV Chargers
There is currently no direct SEAI grant specifically for hospitality EV charger installation. However, several valuable tax benefits are available to help reduce your costs. The Accelerated Capital Allowance (ACA) scheme allows businesses to write off 100% of the cost of qualifying EV charging equipment in the first year of purchase, rather than spreading it over eight years.
If your business is VAT-registered, you can also reclaim VAT on the purchase and installation of EV chargers. For venues where chargers are publicly accessible, additional funding may be available through the ZEVI and Transport Infrastructure Ireland schemes.
