Resolute Engineering Group was proud to deliver a state-of-the-art Solar PV installation for Naas Community College, a brand-new secondary school in County Kildare. With a large campus and extensive daily energy requirements, the school needed a sustainable and efficient solution to manage its high electricity consumption while supporting its commitment to environmental responsibility and education for sustainability.

Design & Execution

Given the high daily electricity usage of a busy secondary school, our engineering team designed a hybrid solar PV system capable of meeting both immediate and stored energy needs. The system features 80 AE Solar 475W panels, chosen for their proven reliability and performance, ensuring consistent power generation throughout the school day.

The Schletter Fix Grid7 mounting system was selected for its compatibility with trapezoidal roofs, ensuring a secure and long-lasting fit without compromising the building’s structural integrity. The 30kW KSTAR Hybrid Inverter paired with 40kW of battery storage allows the school to store excess solar energy generated during the day for use in the evenings or during peak demand periods—maximizing energy efficiency and reducing grid reliance.
